We have 

 

$$e^{i\pi}=-1$$

 

This is one form of Euler's well known relationship.

 

$$e^{i\pi}\rightarrow \cos{\pi}+i\times\sin{\pi}\rightarrow -1+i\times0\rightarrow-1$$
