A fence encloses a square field whose sides measure 12 m. A horse is tethered to a rope that is attached to a corner post of the field so that the horse is outside the fence, If the rope holding the horse is 15 m long, find the total grazing area of the horse in square metres.

The area covered will be  (3/4)  of the area of a circle with a radius  of 15 plus a  the area of half circle with a radius of 3

So....the total area is

(3/4)*pi * (15^2)  + (1/2*)pi*(3)^2  ≈  530.14 m^2
