I need help with how to solve this problem, not the actual answer. Thanks in advance!

(Capital letters are angles, lowercase letters are sides)

A

                             c

b

C                          a                              B

Determine the angles A and B given the following information:

side a = 15

side c = 22

The information given is not sufficient to define a unique triangle.

In addition you need the third side, or the angle B, or, see the next sentence.

If angle C is a right-angle, as is possibly indicated by the diagram, (and if it is you should say so),

then cos(B) = a/c etc. .

Cos B = a / c = 15 / 22

Angle B =Arccos (15 / 22) =47.01 degrees.

Angle A = 90 - 47.01 = 42.99 degrees, or:

Sin A = 15 / 22

Angle A =Arcsin(15 / 22) = 42.99 degrees.
