The meter stick has 1m long, we want to make sticks 3/10 m long then a stick with the remainder. How many sticks can we make? include a fraction remainder.

1 m / (3/10 m/stick) =    10/3 sticks   = 3 sticks of length 3/10 m      with 1/3 m stick ' left over '

The Meter Stick is 1 metre long or 10 decimeter.

3/10 of a metre

The Closest multiple of 3 near 10 is 9.

That means 1 decimetre would be leftover.

Therefore, 1/10 is the remainder and we can have 3 such sticks

(Also, if I prefer Australian or British spelling so deal with my spelling 😌😎)

Hope that helps :) !!!
