Yes except you are best to keep g on the left and take 39 frm both sides.

So, we can say....

g+39=75

I like to turn everything around

75-39=g

75-39=26

g=26

26+39=75

26-(-39)=75

These are the type of scales that I mean happy.

They are pivoted in the middle.  If you put a coin on oneside then it won't be balanced unless you put an equal sized coin on the other side as well :)
