A rose garden is formed by joining a rectangle and a semicircle, as shown below. The rectangle is 25 feet long and 18 feet wide. If the owner of the garden is going to lay fertilizer over the entire garden at a depth of 6 inches, how many cubic feet of fertilizer will the garden need?

No pic shown...but...I'm assuming that the semi-circle lies along the garden's width

Area of recangle  = 25 x 18  = 450 ft^2

Area of semi-circle with radius  =  [ (1/2) * 18 ]  =  9 ft

  (1/2) pi * (9)^2 =   (81/2)pi  = 40.5 pi ft^2

6 inches  = .5 ft

Total   cubic feet  =   [450 + 40.5pi] * .5   ≈  288.62 ft^3
