Three concentric circles are drawn such that the area of the smallest circle is equal to the area of each of the rings. If the radius of the largest circle is 18 cm, what is the radius of the smallest circle?

Area of largest circle   = pi 18^2

minus the smallest circle      pi 18^2 - pir^2

       divided by 2                      (pi 18^2 - pi r^2 ) / 2

           equalls the area of the smallest circle       (pi 18^2 - pi r^2 ) /2 = pi r^2

                                                                                    18^2 - r^2  = 2 r^2

                                                                                      18^2 = 3 r^2                       I'll let you take it from here.....cheeky
