In one plane, there are four circles, each with radii 3, 1, 7, and 5 respectively. They are all tangent to line m at the same point, point A. What's the maximum area that could be between the four circles.

There are only two possible areas for the intersection of all 4 circles. ( assuming that is what the question means.)

 

0 or pi  units squared.

 

Maybe this is not what the question means.  What is the area between the 4 circles????  Really I do not know what area is being referred to.
