In triangle ABC, the measure of angle A is 86 degrees. The measure of angle B is 28 degrees more than three times the measure of angle C. What is the measure, in degrees, of angle C?

The sum of the interior angles of any triangle is 180o
so add up the two you know, and subtract that from 180.
180o – (86o + 28o) = 66o the third angle
.
Your right, but you forgot to divide by 4, since he said b = 3c+28 and you add another c, due to it being b(3c+28) + c
a = 86
b = 3c + 28
c?
a+b+c = 180
b+c = 94
b+c = 4c+28
4c+28 = 94
4c = 66
c = 16.5
Hope this helped!
