In triangle ABC, the measure of angle A is 86 degrees. The measure of angle B is 28 degrees more than three times the measure of angle C. What is the measure, in degrees, of angle C?

The sum of the interior angles of any triangle is 180^{o}

so add up the two you know, and subtract that from 180.

180^{o} – (86^{o} + 28^{o}) = **66 ^{o} the third angle**

Your right, but you forgot to divide by 4, since he said b = 3c+28 and you add another c, due to it being b(3c+28) + c

a = 86

b = 3c + 28

c?

a+b+c = 180

b+c = 94

b+c = 4c+28

4c+28 = 94

4c = 66

c = 16.5

Hope this helped!
