ABCD is a square of side length 1, and M and N are the midpoints of sides AB and CD, respectively.  AM and DC intersect at P.  Find the area of triangle APM.

If M is the midpoint of side AB, and AB and CD are parallel (because the shape is a square), then doesn't that mean that AM and DC are parallel and don't intersect? I might be misunderstanding the problem though...

maybe the guest means AN and DC intersect at P...i might be misunderstanding as well
