Can somebody please help me

Given the following system of equations, please write down the values of x and y.

y = 2x + 5

y = -3x - 10

TRUE or FALSE: A system of equations is simply 2 equations that use 2 different variables?

y = 2x + 5

y = -3x - 10

2x + 5 = -3x - 10

5x = -15

x = -3

x = -3

y = 2(-3) + 5

y = -1

(x, y) = (-3, -1)

As for the TRUE or FALSE question, I believe a system of equation is just any collection of equations, but my vocab skills are trash so I wouldn't trust it.

I hope this helped. :)))

A system of equations  implies  that we have  n equations   in    n   variables

catmg's  answer is  correct

The second one is false..(or at least not necessarily true)....we  could have  3 equations, 3 variables  or 4 equations, 4 variables, etc.
