I got a math test back and the question was 5000(0.04)(0.0833) i got 16.66 but it was marked wrong she said it should have been 16.67 and that i just rounded wrong. i have tried on every calculator i have and i still only get 16.66 . I lost a point off my test for this and she wont admit that she maybe wrong and just blammed it on my calculator

Rounding is not done by the calculator. You must do it in your head, so you were wrong. ._.

Your teacher is wrong unless you have not written the question correctly .. like maybe there was a dot above something indicating that it was a repeating decimal.

 

5000(0.04)(0.0833)

=10000(0.04)(0.0833)   /2

=833*0.04/2

=833*0.02

=833*0.01*2

=8.33*2

=16.66

 

You can show your teacher that if you want to :)      (I didn't use a claculator)

They were probably asked to round if the correct answer was marked wrong. Then again there is nothing to round up. What am l even doing on here?! l have an AP test tomorrow! D:

Good luck HSC !! I have a calculus final exam tomorrow...and instead of studying I've been doing questions on here indecision...................Hahaha I really need to study
