Four-fifths of my current age is also greater than five-sixths of my age two years ago.

Given that my age is an integer, what are all possible values for my age? Explain how you determined your answer, showing all steps along the way.

Let A  be your current age

 

(4/5)A  >  (3/4) (A + 1)

 

(4/5)A - (3/4)A  > 3/4

 

(1/20)A  > 3/4

 

A > (3/4)(20)

 

A >  15

 

And

 

(4/5)A  >  (5/6) (A - 2)

 

(4/5)A  >  (5/6)A  - 5/3

 

5/3  >  (5/6)A - (4/5)A

 

5/3  >  (1/30)A

 

(5/3) ( 30)  > A

 

50  > A

 

15  < A  < 50    where A is an integer
