Don't let the fact that the triangle is upside down throw you off. Say X is where you drop a perpendicular from Q to PR. If we set PR as the base, and XQ as the height, after that it's straightforward. \(B \cdot H \cdot 1/2 = 4 \cdot 3 \cdot 1/2 = 6\) .
Hope this helps!
To find the area of a triangle you must use the formula: B*H* \(\frac{1}{2}\)
So we must fid the base and height:
B: 4
H: 3
Multiply them together
4 * 3 = 12
Then multiply it by \(\frac{1}{2}\)
\(12 * \frac{1}{2} = 6\)
The Area of Triangle PQR is 6
Hope this helps ;P
don't forget the units squared, you have to add that!
The area is 6 units squared
