The numbers x^3 and y^2 are inversely proportional. If x=2 when y=15, what is y if x=1 and y is positive? Write your answer in simplest radical form.

y^2  = k/ x^3

15^2 =  k/2^3

225 = k / 8

225 * 8   =  k

1800  = k

So

y^2  =  1800 / 1^3

y^2  = 1800     take the positive root

y =  √ 1800  =   √  [ 100 * 9  * 2  ] =       30√ 2
