Hi TheNorthStar!

 

First Problem

So the vertex of the parabola is at (-3, -5) 

So the line of symmetry is at x = -3. 

 

Second Problem

If we assume that each box of the graph is 1, then the line at symetry is when x = 2.

For me personally, I love using desmos to help me solve and visualize these problems.
