If the degree measure of an arc of a circle is increased by 20% and the radius of the circle is increased by 35% , by what percent does the length of the arc increase?

Original measure    a / 360 * pi * d               a = arc measurement in degrees    d = diameter

 

now increase      a * 1.20   / 360   * pi * d * 1.35

 

ratio of increase to original

 

1.2 * 1.35 / 1 * 1  =   1.62             this is a 62 % increase
