If MJ = 15, KL = 16, and ML = 20, what is MK?
Triangle MKJ is similar to triangle MKL.
\(\frac{MJ}{MK}= \frac{MK}{KL}\)
x/15 = 16/20
x = 12
Triangle MKL is a right triangle......so.....
MK = sqrt ( ML^2 - KL^2) = sqrt (20^2 - 16^2) = sqrt (400 - 256) =sqrt (144) = 12
