A region is bounded by semicircular arcs constructed on the side of a square whose sides measure 2/pi, as shown. What is the area of this region?

r=22π=1π

c=r^2=1π2

c/2=12π2

oops your grammer was wrong so i got confused just multiply by 4 and you get 2π2

The area would be TWO complete circles' area + the area of the square

   cirlcel area = pi (d/2)^2               square area = side * side

 

 You should be able to take it from here .......cheeky
