Let x be the number. Then:

(x-5)(x+5) = 75

x² - 25 = 75

x² = 100

x = 10.  

(x = -10 is also a solution)

sorry don't understand "the product of the result is 75".to have a product you need at least 2 numbers

if x  = 10  ⇒   (10 + 5) (10 - 5)   =  15 * 5   =  75

If x  =  -10  ⇒  (-10 + 5)  (-10 - 5)  =  -5 * -15   =  75
