Two T-shirts and 4 pants cost $67.90. Five T-shirts and 9 pants cost $160.25. What is the cost of one pant?

Wait, I'm confused. Can you write the question properly please and not in Latex. I don't get the second part so I can't help you.

T = number of T-shirts, P = number of pants

2T + 4P = 67.9                    (1)

5T + 9P = 160.25                (2)

Multiply (1) by 5 and (2) by 2

10T + 20P = 5*67.9           (3)

10T + 18P = 2*160.25       (4)

Subtract (4) FROM (3)

2P = 5*67.9 - 2*160.25

Divide by 2

P = 2.5*67.9 - 160.25

Hence  P = 9.5

Substitute this back into (1) or (2) and rearrange to find T.
