Hey people, I need help with this problem. I don't just need the answer, I want a step by step explanation.

Here's the Problem.

James's weekly quiz scores are shown in the stem-and-leaf plot below.

\begin{tabular}{c|ccccccc} 7 & 9 \\ 8 & 1 & 3 & 3 & 3 & 5 & 5 & 8 \\ 9 & 4 & 9 \end{tabular} If he drops his scores from the first two weeks, his mode score increases by $2$. How much would his mean score increase

Please arrange the latex properly.

Also, do you know what mode and mean are?

Sorry About that, and yes.

\( \begin{tabular}{c|ccccccc} 7 & 9 \\ 8 & 1 & 3 & 3 & 3 & 5 & 5 & 8 \\ 9 & 4 & 9 \end{tabular} \)

Mode is the most times a number is in a group. For example, if you have in a group, 1 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 &8, then 1 would be the mode. Mean is the Average.

Very good.

Again, please properly enable your latex.

There's a "LaTeX" button on the top. Press that then enter your code.

Answer: 3/4 points higher

James croses out to scores that are 83.

86-83=3 now its 3 points below average.

the remaining 8 scores are six points above average=6/8=3/4.
