f(x) = 2(1.1)*, where x is the time in weeks.
a Find the initial length of the ivy plant.
b Find the length after 10 weeks.

f(x) = 2(1.1)*, where x is the time in weeks.     something is missing in your equation....

f(x) = 2 + (1.1)*x   Perhaps?

initially x = 0   and the ivy is 2 mt tall

2+ 1.1 x     when x = 10     is  13 m

c,)   10m  = 2 + 1.1 x      x = 8.2 weeks
