I have a field total 25740 sq mtrs

I need to divide it into 7 plots

Plots 1 to 4 are to be equal in surface area

Plots 1 & 2 combined or 4 & 5 combined are obviously the same.

However plots 5, 6 & 7 are equal in surface area also and equate to the total area of plots 1 & 2 combined or 3 & 4 combined.

What is the actual individual surface area of plots 1,2 & 3 and 4,5,6 & 7

Or can you give me the formula

Thank you in anticipation

If you meant that plot 1 + plot 2 is equal to plot 3 + plot 4, then this is what I got.

Since plots 1-4 are all equal, I made them one variable, x. Since plots 5-7 are all equal I also made them a variable, y. I then made some base formulas based off of the info.

1: 4x+3y=25740

2: 2x=3y

I then solved for x on the second equation and got x=(3/2)y. Using this new equation, I plugged it into the x value for the first formula. Now you only have one variable, so you can solve for y. After I did this, I got y=2860. Then I plugged y into the first formula and solved for x this time. I got x=4290. I checked my answers and this should be right if the information I used was correct.

So therefore...

Plot 1 = 4290

Plot 2 = 4290

Plot 3 = 4290

Plot 4 = 4290

Plot 5 = 2860

Plot 6 = 2860

Plot 7 = 2860

This isn't propotional, but heres a visual for the x's and the y's

x (4290)

x (4290) x (4290) x (4290)

  y (2860)

  y (2860)      y (2860)
