In parallelogram EFGH let M be the midpoint of side and let N be the midpoint of side EH. Line segments FH and GM intersect at P and line segments FH and GM intersect at Q. Find PQ/FH.

Here are hints to help you get started.

 


 

First draw diagonal EG meeting FH at point X.

 

Since the diagonals of a parralelogram bisect eachother EX = XG.

 

FX and GM are thus medians of EFG so P is the centroid of EFG.

Ah, apologies.

 

You draw a diagonal, or line segment, from point E to G. This should meet the OTHER one from F to H at a point X.
