I think you mean when they are 180 degrees apart:

+118677 Just thinking about it logically I can see that this will happen between 1:35 and 1:40 So any calc I do can be checked against this.

After 1 minute the hour hand travels 0.5 degrees and the minute hand travels 6 degrees

After x minute the hour hand travels 0.5x degrees and the minute hand travels 6x degrees
