In how many ways can three pairs of siblings from different families be seated in two rows of three chairs, if siblings may not sit next to each other in the same row, and no child may sit directly in front of their sibling?

So i said 72 which is incorrect. I got that answer by actually making a seat map like

A B C
D E F

A pair of children can only sit in these patterns, AC, AE, AF, BD, BF, CA, CD, CE.

There are 6 possibilities for the first seat, 4 for the next, and 2 for the last two. Meaning the possibilities are 6x4x2x2=96

Yay!
