If the area of a parallelogram is increased by a factor of 25, assuming both dimensions change proportionally, what is the effect on the base and height?

The radius of a circle is multiplied by 2/3, describe the effect on the circumference?

Parallelogram area

area = b h

25 * area = 25 b h  = 5 b * 5 h        height and base are increaseg by a factor of 5

The  base  and  height  change  by  a  factor of  sqrt (25)  =   5

Circumference is a  linear measure......it will  also  be (2/3)  of its  original value
