Ok, remember PEMDAS:
P-parenthesis
E-exponents
MD- multiply and divide (the order doesn't matter on these two)
AS- add and subtract ( the order of these two don't matter, either)
All equations should be solved in that order. So, if I have this problem:
2 + 5 * (2 + 4 * 6 / 2) - 3
Then I solve the things in parenthesis first, in PEMDAS order:
2 + 5 * (2 + 24 / 2) - 3
2 + 5 * (2 + 12) - 3
2 + 5 * 14 - 3
Then multiply:
2 + 70 - 3
Then add and subtract, in whichever order (though I prefer to add before subtracting, as I prefer multiplying before dividing):
72 - 3
69
There's the answer. All questions should be solved using PEMDAS order. (If you don't know what an exponent is, don't worry about it. If you do, sorry, but over the internet I have no idea how old you are )
