Hai! I'm WinterPotato and I was wondering if anyone could help me with this sequence problem.

Thanks to anyone who tries! I really appreciate your help.

Evaluate the infinite geometric series:

\(0.79 + 0.079 + 0.0079 + 0.00079 + 0.000079 + \dotsb\)

Express your answer as a fraction with an integer numerator and denominator.

P.S. I am kind of new here and have only posted one or two times, so would someone be willing to tell me what else this website can do? Thanks!

P.P.S HAPPY EARLY EASTER!!!!! I hope everyone has fun *tomorrow if you are in the U.S* doing egg hunts and eating chocolate!

The common ratio   is  1/10

So.....the sum  =        first term                      0.79            0.79            7.9         79

                               ______________   =   _______  =  _______  =  ___  =   ____

                               1 - common ratio          1 - 1/10           9/10           9           90

BTW  -  Happy Easter, WP!!!!
