1/10 of her money=8e+3p since p=2e
=8e+3(2e)
=8e+6e
=14e
So the answer to (a) is 14

This my attempt at (b) ok so in a we found that 1/10 of her money could buy 14 erasers, its says with 1/3 of her remaining money she bought more erasers after spending 1/10 she had 9/10 left. 1/3 of 9/10 is 3/10 presuming she spent that 1/3 on just erasers with no change then
1/10=14
3/10=14×3
=42

+47 Ok my answer for b was wrong and I have to admit it was a very silly mistake on my part. I answered 42 which would have been correct if they asked how many she bought with 1/3 of her remaining money but I forgot to add the amount she bought at the start if I had I would have gotten 50, Sorry again for the incorrect answer and I hope this is the correct answer.
