2) A large square is divided into 4 small congruent rectangles and a small square as shown. The areas of the large and small squares are 25 and 7, respectively. What is the length of a diagonal of a small rectangle?

Call AD y and DC z. Then AC = sqrt(y^2+z^2). We also know that yz = GE * CE. CE, by our equation, is equal to yz/GE. Therefore, our answer should be (sqrt(y^2+z^2))/(yz/GE). I'll leave you to simplify that.
