A dose of a shrinking potion makes a person 50% smaller than they were before they drank it, and eating a growth cake makes a person 50% larger than they were before they ate it. After drinking 2 doses of shrinking potion and eating 1 growth cake, what is the ratio of Alice's final size to her original size? Express your answer as a common fraction.

1. Let's pretend that Alice's original size is 1.

2. After drinking one dose of shrinking potion...

1/2=1/2

After drinking another does of shrinking potion...

1/2/2=1/4

3. After eating a growth cake would be the same thing as multiplying 1/4 by 150%. What would you get? What would the final ratio be?

omg thanks! 1/4 times 150% is also 3/2 times 1/4 which is 3/8. the ratio of the final size to original size will be 3/8/1 which is also 3:8 after simplifying i think.
