At Rock-n-Bowl, shoe rental costs $2, and each game bowled is $3.50. At Strikz, each game bowled costs $3, and shoe rental is $4.50. If the same amount of money is spent at both locations, how many games, n, are bowled? Show your work to justify your answer.

Rock-n-Bowl:  Let R represent the number of games bowled; then the cost will be 2.00 + 3.50R

Strikz:             Let S represent the number of games bowled; then the cost will be 4.50 + 3.00S

If the same amount of money is spent:  2.00 + 3.50R  =  4.50 + 3.00S

Rearranging:                                          3.50R - 3.00S  =  2.50

At 50 cents more per game bowled (3.50 - 3.00), there would have to be 5 games bowled to make the 2.50 difference.
