A ball is dropped from a height of 30 feet and each time it hits the ground it bounces 0.75 of the previous height. What is the height of the ball after it makes its third bounce? Round to the nearest hundredth of a foot
I got 12.65 feet. You just divide by 4 then multiple by 3 and repeate 3 times
First bounce: 30 x 0.75 = 22.5
Second bounce: 22.5 x 0.75 = 16.875
Third bounce: 16.875 x 0.75 = 12.65625 = 12.66
Another way: 30 x 0.753 = 12.65625 = 12.66
Oh shoot! I forgot to round!!!!! NOOOO Ty for catching my mistake!
