Exponential growth/decay can be written in this form
f(x) = a (b)^x
We can ignore "a"....it's "b" that determines growth / decay
If b > 0 but < 1 we have decay
If b > 1.....we have growth
A we can write this as f(x) = 1 (8)^x.....b = 8....so this is growth
B we can write this as f(x) = 1 (0.08)^x ....b = .08....so this the decay function
