Exponential growth/decay can be written in this form

f(x)    = a (b)^x

We can ignore "a"....it's "b" that determines growth / decay

If   b > 0   but   < 1    we have decay

If b > 1.....we have growth

A    we can write this as   f(x)   = 1 (8)^x.....b = 8....so this is growth

B   we can write this as   f(x)  = 1 (0.08)^x    ....b = .08....so this the decay function

For extra-credit.....can you tell me what  C  and D  are???

cool cool cool
