The easiest way to solve this would be to multiply the second equation by -4
6.5x + 4y = 2935
-4x -4y = -1800
Add both equations
2.5x = 1135
x = 454
Plug x back into either equation
454 + y = 450
y = -4
Unless the question states it's ok to have a negative value, the system has no solution
