A cone is generated by rotating right triangle \(ABC\) around side \(\overline{AB}\) (Length of \(\overline{AB}\) is 3). The right triangle's side lengths are 3, 4, and 5. What is the cone's total surface area?

I know the height is 3 and the radius of the base is 4, but I don't know how to find the surface area.

Surface area    =   pi *  [ r^2  + r L]    where r  = 4  and L =  the slant height =   5

So

pi [ 4^2  + 4 * 5  ] =

pi  [ 16 + 20  ] =

36 pi  ≈   113.1
