is parallel to the segment through \(A\), and \(AB = BC\). What is the number of degrees represented by \(x\)?

Note that angle ABC  =  124°   because it is an alternate interior angle to the other 124°  angle

And since AB = BC  ...then angle ACB = angle CAB    =  [ 180 - 124] / 2  =  56 / 2  =  28°

And x is an alternate interior angle to angle ACB....so it also measures 28°
