70% of the students applying to a university are accepted. Assume the requirements for a binomial experiment are satisfied for 10 applicants. a. a. The probablity that someone is accepted is 70%. So each person has a .7 chance of being accepted. If 8 or more are accepted that can be 8, 9, or 10 people. The probability for that would be (.7)^8+(.7)^9+(.7)^10= .1262491419 or .13 by rounding.

b. The same method goes for 4 or more people. (.7)^4+(.7)^5+...+(.7)^10= .7344224419 or .73 by rounding.

Hope it helps!
