a cars tires have a radius of 16 in, if the tires are moving at 1000 revolutions (8.4 ft in one revoultion) how many feet have you traveled in 1 minute? 1 hour?

You said that they move at the rate of 1000 revolutions -- if you mean that they revolve at the rate of 1000 revolutions per minute, then in 1 minute they travel 1000 x 8.4 feet or 8400 feet (approximately).

Then, in an hour they would travel 8400 x 60 feet ...
