Suppose that in a certain triangle, the degree measures of the exterior angles are in the ratio 2:3:4.

If the largest interior angle measures y degrees, what is the value of y?

Hint(s):

Remember that for each exterior angle, there's an adjacent interior angle which is its supplement ( they add up to 180 degrees).

Exterior angle ad to 360    2+3+4  parts =   360/9  = 40 degrees per part

the largest INTERIOR angle will have the SMALLEST exterior angle (2 parts)     the int and ext angles add to 180

180  -  2 parts x 40 degress/part  = 100 degrees
