The radius of a sphere is p units and the radius of a hemisphere is 2p units. What is the ratio of the volume of the sphere to the volume of the hemisphere?

Hemisphere volume =  (1/2)(4/3) pi * p^3  =  (2/3)pi* p^3

Sphere volume  = (4/3) pi * (2p)^3  =  (4/3)pi * 8p^3  =  (32/3)pi p^3

Sphere Volume                         (32/3) pi * p^3           (32/3)            32

_________________  =         _____________  =    _______   =    ___   =     16

Hemisphere Volume                 (2/3) pi * p^3               (2/3)              2
