\(\frac{3}{4}-\frac{1}{16}\)

OK, you have these two fractions. Now we find the Least Common Denominator (LCD) which in this case is 16. To produce an equilivant faction with a denominator of 16, we need to change the numerator in proportion to the denominator. To produce 16 from 4, we need to multiply by 4 (4*4=16) so we multiply the top numeber as well.

\((\frac{3}{4}*\frac{4}{4})-\frac{1}{16}\)

\(\frac{12}{16}-\frac{1}{16}\)

Ah! Now we have something we can easily work with.

\(\boxed{\frac{11}{16}}\)

We make sure that this fraction can't be simplified any further without making sub-fractions and decimals in fractions. It can't; therefore, this must be the answer.
