Hola, I have three study questions I need help on. Thanks

1. What is the length of YX?

2. Quadrilateral ABCD is inscribed in circle O. What is mA?

3. A circle has a radius of 5.4m. What is the exact length of an arc formed by a central angle measuring 60dg?

Express your anser using the pi symbol.

Thanks for all your help!

I think I answered the first one, yesterday.....anyway

ZY  *VY  = XY^2

28 * 9    = XY^2

252  = XY^2      take the square root of both sides

sqrt (252) = XY

sqrt (36 * 7)  = XY

6sqrt(7) =  XY  ≈  15.87

2. The sum of Angles B and D  = 180

So

2x + 3x - 5   = 180

5x - 5 = 180   add 5 to both sides

5x = 185        divide both sides by 5

x = 37

And A =   x + 5  = 37 + 5   =   42°

3.  60 degrees is (1/6) of the circle's circumference....so..

The arc length is   2 pi r / 6  =   2 pi (5.4) / 6  =  (10.8 / 6) pi   =  (1.8)pi meters

cool cool cool
