how do i convert 0.256 into scientific notaion

Mr. "ThAnswerGuy"  ....we're on here to provide answers, NOT to criticize someone because they DON'T know the answer......maybe YOU learned something in the 5th grade, but that doesn't mean that eveyone learned it......If you have something constructive to add, we'll listen....otherwise....shut up......writing something in scientific notation isn't "intuitive"

In scientific notation, we want one number before the decimal, and we can have as many as we want after the decimal. This number will then be multiplied by 10 raised to an exponet. So, we can move the deicmal over one place to the right, but then we need to multiply that by 10^-1.

So your answer would be 2.56 x 10^-1.

Sorry. I'm not really sure how to explain this any better.

if you are above 5th grade you should know that because I, for one, learned that in 5th grade.

not criticizing, just pointing out that maybe if you thought about it you could do that problem yourself
