You solve inequalities pretty much the exact same way you solve a regular equation, except whenever you divide or multiply by a negative number you must flip the sign.
So like if your question was:
2x - 4 > 10
You just add 4 to both sides
2x > 14
then divide both sides by 2
x > 7
if your question was:
-3x - 8 > 10
add 8 to both sides
-3x > 18
divide boths sides by -3, but since it is negative, you must flip the sign
x < 6
