First, you convert square into multiplied by itself.(That probably sounds confusing, so I will show you an example). (9/14)2 = (9/14) x (9/14)

Multiply the denominator and the numerator by themselves. E.g. (9x9)/(14x14)

Ta-da! Answer is in front of you! 81/196!

Multiply the TOP number by itself (numerator) and the BOTTOM number by itself (denominator)

 

ex:      3/4  ^2    =   3*3/4*4 = 9/16
