1. Find a number that you can multiply by the bottom of the fraction to make it into any 1 followed by 0s.

2. Multiply both top and bottom by that number. 

3. Write down just the top number and put the decimal point in the right spot.

eg) $${\frac{{\mathtt{63}}}{{\mathtt{125}}}} = {\frac{\left({\mathtt{63}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{8}}\right)}{\left({\mathtt{125}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{8}}\right)}} = {\frac{{\mathtt{504}}}{{\mathtt{1\,000}}}} = {\mathtt{0.504}}$$
