surface area of a cone $= (π *\text{radius}*\text{slant height})+ (π * \text{radius}^2)$

Or...if you are not given slant height:

surface area of a cone $=\pi*\text{radius}(\sqrt{ \text{height}^2+\text{radius}^2}+\text{radius})$
